Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum + pension

Package: Up to £55,000 plus allowances (depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience)

AWE is currently recruiting for a Client Demolition Construction Supervisor/Engineer to support the Construction Manager in ensuring the successful planning and delivery phases of demolition construction projects. The role will support a significant 'UK leading' multi-million-pound forward build programme of new facilities and associated infrastructure.

You will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring that demolition works by Contractors are undertaken to appropriate and specified quality/safety standards (inspect and verification).
  • Maintaining a daily site diary, accurately detailing site conditions, progress, and resources available to undertake work activities throughout the construction phase.
  • Providing input to weekly reports which include site safety inspections, quality control, inspection & test plans, defect notices, etc.
  • Providing supervision and governance to maintain and promote high standards in environmental, safety, health, security, and quality management.

Who are we looking for?

We need you to have the following:

  • A suitable amount of technical and site experience within the demolition field, with a proven track record in successfully supervising demolition work.
  • An industry standard construction/demolition/build environment qualification, aligned to your discipline/specialism.
  • Ideally hold a Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS), or National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) Construction accreditation, or a suitable equivalent.
  • Membership of an appropriate professional institution (desirable).
  • A good understanding of current construction Health, Safety and Environmental Legislation/Regulations, particularly compliance with the 2015 Construction Design Management Regulations.
