The Role
Join the vibrant DVC Sports Centre team as a Duty Officer and take centre stage in delivering an exceptional, customer-first experience for our members, learners, and staff.

Your Leadership
- Empower Your Team: Act as a key member of our operational management squad, providing daily guidance, support, and motivation to staff.
- Lead by Example: Step up as a versatile leader to cover shifts, manage absences, and even lead classes when needed.
You will hold a minimum of a Level 3 Sports or Leisure related qualification, a Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification and a full First Aid at Work qualification. (First Aid will need to be done whilst in post if not already obtained).
You will have experience of supervisory responsibilities and significant knowledge of health and safety guidelines in a sports and leisure centre environment.
You will need to be able to work flexibly as the role involves working mostly evenings, and weekends on a rota basis, taking responsibility for opening and securing the premises.

Department Info
DVC Sports Centre is located at Dearne Valley College and provides the local area with a diverse range of cardiovascular and muscle strengthening equipment. There are over 25 fitness classes taking place each week, our staff will support you to achieve your fitness goals and pursue a healthy lifestyle. Whilst on shift you will be responsible for the facilities and staff, ensuring customer satisfaction and being able to respond to, and solve any queries or issues. You will report directly to the Centre Manager.
