Join the AA Insurance Finance team as a Finance Analyst Business Partnering, where you'll play a key role in supporting both our Financial Services and AA Lease businesses. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you'll help drive financial performance, provide valuable commercial insight, and support business decision-making.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll partner with operational and finance teams across the business to ensure robust financial controls, effective processes, and the successful delivery of EBITDA targets. What will I be doing?

  • Partnering with the Financial Services and Lease operational teams to understand business performance, challenge results and provide meaningful financial insight that supports decision-making.
  • Leading the development and continuous improvement of management information and reporting, ensuring stakeholders have the data they need to make informed decisions.
  • Building and enhancing financial models that identify trends, generate commercial insights and strengthen forecasting accuracy.
  • Supporting the month-end reporting process, working closely with the Finance Reporting team to improve reporting quality, efficiency and business insight.
  • Delivering detailed variance analysis across revenue, costs and balance sheet performance, investigating key drivers and providing clear recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes, controls and ways of working, helping to drive greater efficiency and accuracy across the business.
  • Collaborating with the Head of Finance to ensure VAT accounting processes are well understood operationally and remain compliant with HMRC requirements.
  • Attending regular steering meetings with senior stakeholders to identify financial risks and opportunities, supporting proactive business planning and performance management.
  • Leading budgeting, forecasting and investment appraisal activities, including capex submissions, business cases and ad hoc projects that support the growth and success of Financial Services and Lease.

What do I need?

  • Proven experience in a Finance Business Partnering role, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders across the business.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights and recommendations.
  • Experience working within a finance or accounting environment, with a solid understanding of financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively and present financial information to a range of audiences.
  • Ability to analyse complex data, identify trends and support informed business decision-making.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to competing deadlines.
  • Curiosity and a proactive mindset, with a desire to understand business performance and continuously seek improvements.
  • High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and integrity across financial reporting and analysis.
  • Part-qualified CIMA, ACCA, ACA or an equivalent accounting qualification, with a commitment to continued professional development.
  • Knowledge of the insurance, financial services or leasing sectors would be advantageous but is not essential.
