Pay: $26 – $27 per hour

Minimum Guaranteed Hours: 30 hours per week

Days of Work Required: Monday to Sunday

Overview

We are seeking passionate Kaiāwhina Hauora (Teina) workers to provide day‑to‑day personal attendant care and support to whānau in need of home‑based rehabilitation services.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal attendant care, including showering, dressing and eating
• Assist with mobility: transfers, positioning, transportation
• Assist with customised communication needs
• Assist with medication administration
• Assist with rehabilitation programme
• Participate in service plan and whānau ora plan reviews
• Follow best‑practice attendant care protocols within scope of practice
• Maintain summary case notes, monitor day‑to‑day care, record changes in condition and report events (e.g., complaints)

Qualifications

• NZQA Level 3 qualification in health and disability or Māori development, or at least one year relevant experience in health, disability or similar field
• Understanding of tikanga Māori and the influence of manaakitanga and whanaungatanga in the recovery journey
• Passion for breaking down barriers that prevent people from living life to the fullest
