We are an award-winning Business Transformation & Integration Advisory firm, helping corporates to maximise value creation through their people – by rewiring workforce structures for agility, reshaping culture to fuel performance, and realigning leadership to be future ready.

Our approach is simple: great people doing great work for great clients guided by three core principles:

  • Expertise Led - sharing insights to provoke thinking;
  • Outcome Obsessed - delivering outcomes with sustainable results;
  • Human Centred - taking a people-centric approach to make change stick.

We are proud to have grown a diverse and talented team of experienced former Big 4 consultants, with proven capability and progressive thinking, delivering sustainable results and working as one team in a dynamic and nimble way. We value your individual brilliance, and we’re looking for individuals who bring curiosity, drive and proactivity to participate and contribute from day one. We recognise that great work depends on how people work best. We support flexible ways of working that balance high performance with personal sustainability. We also believe in the value of being together, so we ask everyone to spend a minimum of 40% of their working time in the office.

The Role

WhartonBC de-risks and re-energises the people layer of high stakes change to fuel performance and maximise business value. We are on a growth journey and looking for driven, ambitious, smart, organised and data-led people at Senior Consultant level, to join our team at an exciting point. This is a hands-on delivery role with real ownership. You will lead the production of client deliverables within a workstream, working alongside our highly experienced Managers and Directors rather than under close supervision. You will build the kind of client credibility that gets you asked back, start shaping how projects are scoped and planned, and begin building a specialism of your own. It is the grade where consultants move from doing the work well to owning a piece of it.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the production of client deliverables with the guidance of a Manager or Director.
  • Deliver excellent client service, building client visibility and credibility.
  • Work with your Project Lead to scope and plan projects.
  • Research potential clients and raise opportunities you spot with your Manager or Director.
  • Act as a buddy to more junior colleagues, and demonstrate the Wharton values and behaviours.
  • Build experience across multiple specialisms and sectors, and actively seek opportunities to develop.
  • Support thought leadership and external engagement through independent research and collaboration with our Executive team.
  • Understand the Wharton growth agenda and support growth activities with exposure to senior leadership.

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking Senior Consultants with experience, or a developing specialism, in one or more of the following disciplines:

  • Organisational Design & Operating Model
  • Culture Change & Measurement
  • Executive & Leadership Development
  • Change Management & AI integration
  • Programme Management & Transformation

We are interested in people who have skills and experience in the following areas:

  • Track record of client delivery at high standard, producing quality deliverables at pace, with limited errors and minimal rework.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, and the judgement to know which findings matter.
  • High attention to detail with a bias for process improvement and solution orientation.
  • Effective written and verbal communication, with the confidence to speak up, curiosity to ask and ability to listen.
  • Ability to build credibility with clients in your own right, at working and mid-management level.
  • Collaborative way of working with clients, bringing a dynamic, responsive and engaging style.
  • Resilient with strong personal impact - able to influence others and facilitate decision making.
  • Self-motivated, ‘can-do’ attitude with excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise.
  • Curiosity across sectors and specialisms, and a genuine appetite to keep learning and building technical depth.
  • Experience supporting business development - whether through proposals, networking or building client pipelines.
  • Experience of working in a consultancy or consulting environment is preferable.
  • Undergraduate or postgraduate degree, or equivalent professional experience.

Above all, a willingness to bring your energy, thoughts and ideas!

What we offer

Joining Wharton Business Consulting means becoming part of a fast-growing, entrepreneurial business where your contribution is seen and valued. We’re a place where curiosity is rewarded, where we lift each other up, and where honest, kind feedback is how we all get better. You’ll have real ownership of your work and a genuine stake in our growth, backed by the modern tools (including your own AI licence) and the training to use them brilliantly. Add a design-led home in Southwark, a serious commitment to your wellbeing, family and development, and a seat at the table with senior leaders and industry experts – and you’ve got a place where great people do their best work.

Our Values

  • Collaboration - We believe in working with our clients to co-create solutions as part of their team, not as an external entity. Support through partnership is what sets us apart and we wouldn’t want to work any other way.
  • Insight - We appreciate the chance to bring our energy, experience and perspective to clients every day. We use this understanding to challenge conventional thinking and old ways of doing things and bring creative ideas to the table.
  • Challenge - We love a challenge and, for us, the ultimate case study is transforming an industry or business that is stuck in the dark ages. That’s a challenge we’ll gladly accept. We are honest; seeking to speak truth to those in power and ‘listen up’ in all we do.
  • Outcomes - We help clients build a better future by focusing on purpose-driven solutions with long-lasting results. We facilitate these outcomes, flexibly and in partnership with our clients for the most sustainable change to deliver a great working experience for all.

How we measure performance

Success here is measured by impact: the outcomes you deliver, how you collaborate, and the value you create for clients and colleagues. Measured across six competency areas levelled by grade. Senior Consultants are expected to contribute meaningfully to: Client Delivery, Expertise & Specialism, and Eminence, whilst also supporting Sales & Business Development, People Leadership and Business strategy & growth.

Every one of our people has a Navigator - a dedicated senior mentor whose job is to grow you. Through regular one-to-ones and quarterly sessions, your Navigator helps you build capability, navigate challenges, and shape your path - because here, leaders coach first and manage second.

Our Commitment to Inclusion

Wharton Business Consulting is committed to building a diverse and inclusive environment. We welcome applications from all backgrounds and consider all qualified candidates without regard to race, colour, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, age or any other protected characteristic. We believe that individual brilliance, combined with the power of diverse perspectives, is what makes us exceptional.

Applicants should send their CV and a short cover letter (no more than 500 words) by September 2026. We look forward to hearing from you.
