Wharfedale Flooring Ltd, a reputable and established flooring contractor known for high-quality workmanship and excellent service, is seeking skilled and experienced Floor Layers to join our team. We value craft pride and high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare subfloors by cleaning, levelling, and smoothing surfaces.
- Measure and cut flooring materials accurately.
- Install various floor coverings including carpet, vinyl, laminate, rubber, LVT, and hardwood.
- Secure flooring with adhesives, nails, or staples.
- Ensure installations meet industry, safety standards, and customer expectations.
- Follow drawings or plans for flooring patterns and designs.
- Operate hand and power tools safely.
- Inspect completed work for quality and proper installation.
- Communicate with clients and team members for efficient coordination.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and dispose of waste properly.
- Adhere to health and safety protocols on-site.
Requirements
- Experience and full qualification in commercial flooring (LVT, vinyl, safety flooring, carpet tiles, etc.)
- Full UK driving licence
- Valid and up-to-date CSCS card
- Ability to work independently or within a team
- Excellent health and safety knowledge
- Willingness to travel within Yorkshire
