We are a school serving young women, removing barriers to learning, promoting equality and inclusion, and working in partnership with our community to ensure every student can thrive.
As part of the Greater Manchester Education Trust, our values of Excellence, Care and Respect guide every interaction and every decision. These values reflect our belief that exceptional education must go hand-in-hand with compassion, equity and a deep respect for the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our students. We serve a richly diverse community, with over half of our students eligible for pupil premium. This shapes our mission and strengthens our resolve.

Year after year, they progress confidently into further study, a testament to the dedication of our staff, the ambition of our young women and our shared belief that everyone deserves opportunity, regardless of their starting point. These sustained outcomes, alongside our reputation for high-quality teaching and support, have established us as the largest Sixth Form in the area.
Our Sixth Form offers ambitious pathways within a culture that promotes independence, aspiration and leadership, ensuring our students take their next steps with clarity and confidence. About the Role
As Sixth Form Operations Assistant, you will play a pivotal role at the heart of our Sixth Form provision, acting as the first point of contact for students and parents and ensuring clear, consistent communication across the school community. Working closely with the Head of Sixth Form, you will manage day-to-day enquiries, coordinate information, and support student wellbeing through effective liaison, record-keeping, and pastoral triage. You will also contribute to safeguarding and welfare processes, including risk assessments and support plans, helping to ensure every student feels safe, supported and able to succeed.
A key part of the role is driving high standards of attendance, punctuality, and academic engagement. You will deliver targeted interventions, meet with students and families to address concerns, and provide structured academic mentoring that helps students set goals, develop effective study habits, and make progress. Alongside this, you will work collaboratively with teaching and pastoral staff, supervise students during key times, and contribute to the wider life and ethos of the school.
About You
You will be an organised and proactive individual with experience of working with young people aged 11-18 and a genuine commitment to supporting their success. You will bring strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage positively and professionally with students, parents, and colleagues. Your ability to manage information accurately, use ICT systems effectively, and maintain clear records will be essential to delivering high-quality support.
We are looking for someone who is motivated, adaptable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. You will demonstrate empathy, discretion, and a firm but supportive approach when working with students, alongside a strong commitment to safeguarding, equality, and continuous improvement. A willingness to take initiative, respond to changing priorities, and contribute fully to school life will ensure you thrive in this rewarding and impactful role.
We are committed to safeguarding, child protection and promoting the wellbeing of children and young people and expect all staff to share this commitment.
Why Join Us?
- Staff appreciate how leaders and governors are developing ways to protect them from excessive workload.
- Staff expect high standards of conduct. Pupils are well behaved in lessons and around the school site.
