Vehicle fitter - needed in our Paint Shop at our Solihull Site. We are looking for someone who has a positive and proactive approach to problem-solving with some previous experience working in a manufacturing build/process environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join Whale Tankers who are looking to recruit hard-working people, willing and able to learn and looking for a rewarding and fulfilling career.
Your role would be:
- Strip down vehicles that come into the paint process.
- Re-assembly of the tanks and the components after they have been painted using various hand tools and power tools.
- Apply Hi visibility Chapter 8 decals on machines that need them.
- Work to standard operating procedures and engineering data sheets to complete sub-assemblies to then be fitted to our tankers.
- Use of plant machinery including forklift truck and overhead crane to fit certain larger components.
- Supporting other areas of the paint process.
