Vehicle fitter - needed in our Paint Shop at our Solihull Site. We are an employee focused business committed to developing people to ensure that we have the best there is as part of our ever expanding team. We are looking for someone who has a positive and proactive approach to problem-solving with some previous experience working in a manufacturing build/process environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join Whale Tankers who are looking to recruit hard-working people, willing and able to learn and looking for a rewarding and fulfilling career.

Your role would be:

  • Strip down vehicles that come into the paint process.
  • Re-assembly of the tanks and the components after they have been painted using various hand tools and power tools.
  • Apply Hi visibility Chapter 8 decals on machines that need them.
  • Work to standard operating procedures and engineering data sheets to complete sub-assemblies to then be fitted to our tankers.
  • Use of plant machinery including forklift truck and overhead crane to fit certain larger components.
  • Supporting other areas of the paint process.
