IT Support Technician

Overview

Salary up to £32,000 depending on experience. IT Support Technician – Solihull site. This is a full time vacancy with typical hours of work outlined below.

We are looking for someone who can provide IT support to all computer users within Whale Tankers, log and update helpdesk tickets, and work closely with the IT team on infrastructure project work.

You will have previous experience within an IT team, troubleshooting hardware and software, and a solid understanding of networking concepts. You will have delivered technical support to both non-technical and IT-savvy end users.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1st through to 3rd line level of support to users across Whale, assisting via telephone, electronic means, or in person
• Escalate calls to and liaise with third party support providers/suppliers to resolve issues
• Installation and configuration of IT equipment
• Manage and support hardware and software systems both onsite and remote
• Troubleshoot technical issues efficiently and effectively
• Support wired and wireless networks
• Ensure software licensing is up to date and maintain the IT asset register
• Work with other IT team members to ensure systems are secure from cyber threats

Hours

This role will be 39.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 7.30am – 4.00pm and Friday 7.30am – 3.30pm.
