Whalar is the leading, most awarded, independent Creator and Social agency. We transform brands into cultural drivers by unlocking the full creative power of Creators.

We go beyond the conventional social and influencer strategy. We have the technology and methodology to tap into the beating pulse of communities, listen to nuances that move culture, and connect brands in ways that make them unforgettable.

With hubs in London, Berlin, New York, and Los Angeles, our reach is global.

About the role:

As an Associate Director, Client Services, you'll lead the successful delivery of integrated creator marketing campaigns for some of the world's biggest brands. You'll own complex client partnerships from strategy through execution, bringing together cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional creative work, outstanding client experiences, and measurable business results.

This is a highly collaborative leadership role where you'll serve as a trusted advisor to clients, mentor and develop team members, and identify opportunities to grow strategic partnerships. If you're passionate about the Creator Economy, thrive in fast-moving environments, and love building lasting client relationships, you'll play a key role in helping brands connect with culture through creators.

As part of the Client Services team, you'll be responsible for ensuring campaigns are delivered seamlessly, from briefing through execution, while balancing creativity, commercial performance, and operational excellence.

Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:

  • Lead the successful delivery of integrated creator marketing campaigns, ensuring projects are set up for success from briefing through execution.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients, serving as a strategic partner while identifying opportunities to grow accounts and deepen partnerships.
  • Bring together cross-functional teams to deliver outstanding creative work, ensuring campaigns remain on time, on budget, and aligned to client objectives.
  • Own campaign commercials by developing pricing, managing budgets, tracking profitability, and supporting long-term account growth.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members, fostering a collaborative, high‑performing, and solutions‑oriented culture.
  • Continuously improve workflows and operational processes, implementing scalable solutions and sharing campaign learnings across the team.
  • Partner with Measurement and Paid Amplification teams to develop integrated media strategies and meaningful measurement frameworks.
  • Present ideas, campaign performance, and strategic recommendations confidently to clients and prospective partners.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex client situations, resolving challenges with professionalism, sound judgment, and a solutions‑first mindset.
  • Stay immersed in the Creator Economy by identifying emerging trends, platform developments, and cultural insights that create value for clients.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • 6+ years of experience in an agency or brand environment.
  • A proven track record of leading large, integrated marketing campaigns while growing strategic client relationships.
  • Experience managing and developing high-performing teams through coaching and mentorship.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience managing budgets, identifying account growth opportunities, and partnering across teams to develop strategic solutions.
  • Exceptional organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills with outstanding attention to detail.
  • A collaborative, adaptable, and proactive mindset, thriving in fast-moving environments where curiosity and problem solving are valued.
  • A strong understanding of the Creator Economy, social media, and digital marketing, with a genuine passion for emerging platforms and industry trends.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to improve productivity, research, communication, or campaign delivery.
  • Additional language skills are a plus.
