About The Role
Whalar’s Director, Creative Strategy, EMEA plays a pivotal role in developing and executing innovative creator-first strategies for key clients and across new business pitches. With a solid foundation in creative and social media strategy, you will proactively contribute to our dynamic team, pushing creative boundaries on some of the world’s most exciting brands. This role is an opportunity to be part of the team leading the future of creator-first creative strategy.
Here’s What You’ll Do Day-to-day:
- Develop creative, culturally relevant, and insight-driven creator-first strategies rooted in storytelling.
- Work across key accounts and support new business pitches to deliver best-in-class creator-led social programs and campaign concepts.
- Lead client workshops to build creator strategies in partnership with brand teams.
- Inspire clients with creative and strategic guidance, collaborating with Client Business Leads to identify upsell opportunities and enhance relationships.
- Identify and develop community and creator strategies with Research & Insight, Community, and Client Service teams.
- Lead brainstorms and ideation sessions internally and externally.
- Use campaign outcomes to refine future strategies.
- Integrate emerging trends, platform changes, and technologies into creative strategies and thought leadership.
- Manage response timelines to ensure timely delivery of briefs and pitches.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring creative strategies to life during execution.
Here’s What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum of 8 years experience in creative, social media, and content strategy, with top-tier brand experience.
- Experience developing creator campaigns is preferred.
- A passion for the creator economy and its development.
- Extensive knowledge of social media platforms and user behaviours.
- Culturally rooted creative thinker with trend awareness.
- Strong project management and attention to detail.
- Data fluency and analytical skills to turn data into insights.
- Confidence in pitching and presenting to clients and teams.
- Ability to collaborate, adapt, and demonstrate a growth mindset.
