About the Role
We're looking for a rare breed of creative: a Director & Editor who can seamlessly move between high-end storytelling and fast-moving social content. One day you might be directing creators on set, capturing content for a global brand campaign. The next, you're in the edit suite crafting a thumb-stopping social cut, shaping an award entry, or bringing a cinematic brand film to life. This is a hands-on creative role for someone who loves making things. You'll own projects from concept through delivery, combining strong creative instincts with exceptional technical craft across directing, shooting, editing, and post-production. Working closely with our Creative Director and Senior Production Lead, you'll help elevate every piece of content we produce—whether it's creator-led social content, branded entertainment, campaign films, case studies, or award-winning creative work. If you're obsessed with storytelling, culture, social trends, and creating work that people actually want to watch, we'd love to hear from you.
Here's What You'll Do Day-to-Day
- Direct, Shoot & Create
- Lead content productions from pre-production through final delivery.
- Direct creators, talent, and contributors on set, helping capture authentic and engaging performances.
- Self-shoot content ranging from creator-led social videos and Vox Pops to premium branded productions.
- Build shot lists, manage lighting setups, capture location audio, and ensure production quality remains high regardless of budget.
- Edit World-Class Content
- Edit content across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, award entries, brand films, case studies, and beyond.
- Own pacing, narrative structure, colour grading, sound design, and motion graphics elements.
- Create platform-native content that feels culturally relevant while delivering measurable performance.
- Produce mood films, sizzle reels, wrap films, and creative presentations that bring ideas to life.
- Shape Creative Excellence
- Stay at the forefront of creator culture, platform trends, emerging formats, and audience behaviour.
- Bring fresh creative ideas, storytelling approaches, and editing techniques into every project.
- Partner with creative, production, and client teams to turn ambitious ideas into achievable executions.
- Contribute thought leadership and insights around the creator economy and social storytelling.
- Build Strong Production Partnerships
- Collaborate with producers to scope projects, budgets, crews, schedules, and resources.
- Help source and manage freelance directors, editors, cinematographers, animators, and production specialists.
- Maintain relationships with key production partners, studios, rental houses, and post-production vendors.
- Champion efficient workflows and best practices across the editing and production process.
Who Thrives in This Role
- 6+ years of experience within an agency, production company, creative studio, or brand environment.
- Exceptional editing skills across Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and related tools.
- Experience shooting and directing content using professional camera systems such as Sony FX3/FX6 or similar.
- Deep understanding of social-first storytelling, creator culture, and platform best practices.
- Ability to balance creative excellence with performance, engagement, and audience impact.
- Comfortable directing talent ranging from everyday creators to senior stakeholders and celebrity talent.
- Strong production knowledge, with experience managing shoots from planning through delivery.
- Experience leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to improve creative workflows, production efficiency, or content development.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to thrive in fast-paced and evolving environments.
- Comfortable travelling for shoots, including occasional evening or weekend productions when required.
