Lead Business Analyst
FTC: 18 months
Location: London or Swindon

The Lead Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams whilst being accountable for driving credible requirements that support WHSmith strategic goals. This individual will be responsible for analysing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and translating business needs into actionable requirements. The Lead BA will also mentor junior analysts, ensure alignment across teams, and drive the successful delivery of projects.

What you will be doing

1. Conducting analysis to identify strategic opportunities and prioritising business requirements to support the sequencing of the WHS Strategic Roadmap.
2. Engaging with Enterprise Architecture and conducting analysis to support the definition of key outputs (Target Architecture and Transition State documents).
3. Defining change initiatives (shaping) to achieve Business Case approval (Scope Definition, High Level Requirements, Solution Options, RFI / RFP).
4. Building and maintaining strong relationships with Business areas; acting as a point of contact for tech and business stakeholders to assess new requirements or initiatives against the WHS Strategic Roadmap.
5. Working with 3rd parties, Enterprise Architecture, Lead Testers, Support and Programme Leads to ensure alignment.
6. Leading and influencing business partners to generate business and technology solutions for products, business models, services and customer experiences.
