Hours: Full Time

Industry leaders with over 125 years’ experience, clients across Europe, and offices throughout Ireland and the UK, the WH Scott Group requires a Field Service Inspector based in Northern Ireland. This role is an expansion of our existing team.

This role is field-based working with a range of different clients including utilities, automotive, marine, power, oil & gas, and manufacturing environments. You will test, inspect, survey, and maintain existing and new equipment, ensuring it is continually fit for purpose while operating within agreed authorities, inspection, and H&S standards.

Role Responsibilities

  • Ensure surveys, inspections, maintenance, and repairs are carried out within set time scales, in line with the planned schedule.
  • Provide, build, and maintain excellent client relationships, ensuring that all customer service standards are met.
  • Fully utilize all operational systems available, ensuring accurate data is inputted and reflected.
  • Formulate, produce, and distribute inspection/maintenance reports and timesheets in a professional manner, within daily timescales and service standards.
  • Maintain technical standards within business units to meet business plan measures.
  • Carry out assessments and repairs as required.
  • On occasion, conduct workshop and assembly duties.
  • Maintain an awareness of developments in standards and legislation affecting your discipline and support change as required.
  • Abide by the company Health, Safety, and Environment policies and any supplementary memos and rules pertaining to your employment.
  • Responsible for undertaking training and continuing development as appropriate.
  • Coach and mentor colleagues and direct reports as appropriate.

Role Requirements

  • Previous experience in a maintenance, installation, service, or commissioning environment.
  • Previous experience in utilities maintenance preferred but not essential.
  • Previous exposure to lifting devices and material handling equipment is an advantage.
  • A current full driving license.
  • Computer literate, with good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate and have a clear understanding of Health and Safety.
