The Chaser Inn is one of Kent's best-loved country pubs: on the edge of Shipbourne Common, packed for Sunday lunch, full of walkers, families and regulars who've been coming for years. It's busy, it's food-led and it's a great place to learn how a proper pub is run.
We want a Deputy Manager who is ready for the next step. You'll work alongside our General Manager, run the pub when he's off, and learn the whole business, numbers included. Do it well and your next job is a pub of your own. Several of our General Managers started exactly where you'd be starting.

What you'll be doing
Running busy shifts from the floor and setting the standard for service
Leading, training and getting the best out of the front-of-house team
Looking after the regulars, because this is a pub where people know each other
Helping with rotas, stock, ordering and cash-up
Taking charge of the pub when the General Manager is off
You'll be a good fit if
You're a Deputy, Assistant Manager or strong Supervisor in a food-led pub or restaurant
You lead from the floor, not the office
You're warm, calm when it's busy, and you love hospitality
You're ambitious and want to run your own pub one day
Shipbourne is rural, so your own transport helps, or take the live-in and walk to work.
