My client is an international engineering business and they are now looking to recruit a Finance Business Partner / Project Accountant for a 2 year fixed term contract to provide comprehensive financial support, and both statutory and MI reporting across all phases of the project delivery lifecycle. You’ll be based mainly at the Dorset office and there may be some short-term international travel within Europe but this can be discussed at interview to make sure it works for you.
You will work closely and act as a Finance Business Partner with the Project Manager and wider Programme team, undertaking the financial reporting aligned with the management reporting calendar together with calculation of required adjustments, WIP and budgeting.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Implement and enforce appropriate financial disciplines and controls
- Support the project team in providing accurate and timely management information
- Provide accurate forecasting and reporting to all key stakeholders; and respond to changes in the business
- Proactively work with the project and finance team to compile and manage cash flow, and identify and manage risk
- Revenue Recognition IFRS15
- Present and operate at all levels, both internally and externally
- To speak finance to non-finance managers
- To champion finance processes and compliance to accounting practices, challenging behaviours, and embedding best practice throughout the wider business
- Monitor and ensure the validity of the information available.
You will need to have relevant accounting experience in line with the duties outlined above and any experience in engineering and long term Project Accounting would be beneficial but not essential. You will need to be security cleared or be able to achieve security clearance and interviews are ongoing so apply now.
