Finance and Office Manager – The Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Finance & Office Manager to oversee our busy accounts function and support smooth operations across our four locations in Yate. You’ll act as a key point of coordination for finance, administration and people processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and excellent communication throughout the business.
Finance and Office Manager – Key Responsibilities
- Lead, support and supervise the accounts team, overseeing payroll, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation, credit card reconciliation and credit control
- Maintain oversight of day-to-day operations across all Bence sites
- Ensure the smooth running of purchase and sales ledgers
- Manage cash flow, income and supplier payments
- Complete daily bank reconciliations
- Produce clear and accurate financial reports for Directors using Sage, explaining any variances or concerns
- Ensure timely processing of PAYE, payroll and pension contributions
- Coordinate VAT submissions with external accountants
- Compile monthly Work in Progress (WIP) reports for accountants
- Support recruitment administration, including adverts, scheduling and assisting managers with interviews where required
- Assist with after-sales Service Agreements, preparing quotes for ad hoc work and following up on customer orders
Finance and Office Manager – You
- Experienced finance professional - Qualified by Experience is welcome
- Strong numerical skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident communicator with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and clients
- Proactive and adaptable, willing to get involved in all aspects of the office and accounts function
- Able to support and motivate the accounts admin team
- Comfortable investigating anomalies and resolving issues independently
- Competent user of Microsoft Office; Sage experience preferred
- Highly organised, able to juggle a wide variety of tasks and prioritise effectively
- A practical problem-solver who enjoys getting things done
