Financial Accounts Assistant - The Role: We’re looking for a hands-on, proactive accounts assistant to support smooth operations across our four locations in Yate. You’ll act as a key point of support to finance assisting in ensuring efficiency and excellent communication within both the finance and administration aspects of the business.
Financial Accounts Assistant - Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing invoices for all 4 departments (Service, Transport, Creative, Production)
- Responsibility for oversight of the Creative Dept, including timely statements, credit control
- Arrange weekly meetings with the Service Dept to go over invoicing required
- Ensure the smooth running and reconciliation of sales ledgers
- Overall Credit Control (shared responsibility)
- Run reports and correlate financial data for the Creative and Service Departments, ready to provide at meetings with the heads of these departments
- Reconcile both the petty cash tin and HGV driver expenses
- Payroll – only basic knowledge necessary, inputting daily timesheets as required
- Help compile monthly Work in Progress (WIP) reports for accountants
- Provide reports comparing projects, interrogate and assess financial differences
- Purchase Ledger – working knowledge to assist as holiday cover
- Point of contact for Project codes and loading new Projects on Sage
- With over 200 Service Contracts in place - proactive approach to checking renewal dates, order cover, quotes required, and timely invoicing
Financial Accounts Assistant – You:
- Experience – previous competence in a busy finance office required
- Strong numerical skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable investigating anomalies and resolving issues independently
- Confident communicator with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and clients
- Organised attitude and the ability to prioritise work load
- Accurate typing skills expected.
- Flexible approach working with the Office and Finance Manager
- Competent user of Microsoft Office; previous Sage 200 experience preferred
- Confident working with Excel, and able to create complex spreadsheets.
- Highly organised, able to juggle a wide variety of tasks and prioritise effectively
- A practical problem-solver who enjoys getting things done
