Location: Yate, Bristol

Salary: Starting From £15.50 to £16.50 Per Hour (Dependant on Experience)

Job Type: Full time, Permanent

Hours: 08:00 to 16:30 (Monday - Friday)

Operating from 4 sites in Yate, WH Bence is looking to recruit a Coachbuilder to join the Production Team.

About us: W H Bence is a specialist manufacturer of transportable solutions for the Medical, Emergency Services and Hospitality sectors. Bence is a market leader in the design and build of mobiles for NHS and Private Healthcare providers such as Breast Screening Clinics, MRI and CT units; mobile Command Centres, Fire Appliances and Incident Welfare Centres for the Emergency Services as well as Hospitality Suites, Race Car Transporters and bespoke mobile projects for Corporate and Private Clients. In business for over 40 years this family run business, employing over 100 people, has a friendly but busy site.

Coach Builder - The Role: Production workshop hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30. Daily tasks include working on various medical and emergency services vehicles and installing a variety of materials, including GRP, wood, aluminium, and steel sections. You will be working on both new and old vehicles.

Coach Builder - You:

  • Required:
  • Some practical experience working in a similar role or trade
  • Good general wood/metal and fabrication skills (training will be provided to the right candidate)
  • Capable of working to a high standard on your own initiative or as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle a variety of tasks professionally
  • Awareness of health and safety in a workshop environment
  • Positive can-do attitude
  • Willingness to train and learn new skills
  • Ability to lift items regularly due to the nature of the role
  • Desired:
    • Good coachbuilding/bodybuilding experience (1 year preferred)
    • Experience in a variety of roles is advantageous
    • Full UK driving licence is an advantage but not essential
