Salary: £39,520 per annum with OTE £45,000 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Working Hours: 40 Hours Per Week, Monday to Friday (with early/late finishes and weekend work)
About Us: WH Bence is a family owned and run Company based in Yate, Bristol which has been in business for over 40 years. Highly regarded UK specialist coachbuilder with contracts including the manufacture and conversion of vehicles for the emergency services, command & control vehicles, hospitality trailers and mobile medical units (Breast Screening, MRI, CT, Heart Cath Lab, Chemotherapy, Retinal Clinics).
The Role: As a result of continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Electrician to join our expanding team. While the role is primarily based at our Bristol yard, you will also support our mobile fleet across the UK, performing preventative maintenance and reactive repairs. This is a hands-on and varied position working on unique, specialist vehicles such as trailer-based medical units and emergency service command units. It is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, has an eye for detail, and enjoys solving technical challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend and carry out repairs and maintenance
- Field breakdowns over the phone and assist other service engineers with phone support
- Maintain and order all necessary parts for stock and ongoing repairs
- Ensure job cards are requested from third party visits and uploaded onto company software
- Work with third party suppliers to develop and improve existing new chiller systems
- Perform breakdown assistance
- Complete service reports and maintain accurate records
- Provide exceptional customer service on-site
You:
- Must hold a full Category B driving licence to apply for this role
- 18th Edition electrical qualification (preferable)
- Previous experience of making up and installing cable systems, installation of varied systems via diagrams and instructions and fault finding and diagnosis using own initiative (preferable)
- Knowledge of servicing and maintaining trailers and vehicles is required (preferable)
- Experience in auto vehicle electrics and hydraulics will be advantageous though not essential
