We’re looking to hire a Data and Analytics Quality Control Editor based in London to join the WGSN Editorial Hub. This is a hybrid role with an expectation of 3 days in our London office per week.

Role Overview: Specialising in editing data-rich content, the successful candidate will ensure content is factually correct, accurate and ready for publication. You will be required to edit a wide range of content from our global content and decision science teams. The ideal candidate will have expertise in working at a fast-paced digital publishing company and understand how to manage a workflow system with a large content creation team based across the globe. You will be exceptional at analysing data and ensuring our data-rich content is relevant for our clients. You will be highly skilled in digital publication and have experience working for a data-led business.
The team involves working with an Editorial team comprised of skilled editors, sub-editors, copywriters and editorial assistants based in different regions and time zones, including NAM, EMEA and APAC.
Key Accountabilities:
- Data forecasting and editing with the ability to analyse and fact-check data from various sources and formats including WGSN's own proprietary data.
- All data in a report forecast is accurate and has clear actions for industry users.
- Reviewing data and analyses for weaknesses that could undermine our content.
- Work closely with the editorial, image, content and data teams to ensure that content is delivered on time and meets deadlines.
- Ensure that all content adheres to WGSN’s brand values, style guide and tone of voice.
- Liaise with internal and external contributors to ensure that their work is of a high standard and coach and guide them to be the best.
- Contribute to the development of editorial processes, formats and workflows.
- Train and monitor more junior team members.
- Keep up-to-date with global industry trends and developments, and use this knowledge to improve the quality of content.
- Regularly check the production flow and communicate with editors, consultants, the picture desk and design team when necessary.
- Cover for senior editors when required – email fielding, workflow queries and general publishing duties.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications Required:
- A background in editing with a meticulous approach to fact-checking with a focus on quantitative data and data visualisation.
- Data analysis working with multiple data visual charts and diagrams across different industries.
- Preference to have Excel capabilities and the understanding of the role of a data analyst or previous experience working within a data team.
- Analytical mind with strong data storytelling skills with an ability to question the data when needed and create data visualisations that effectively support and strengthen the content story.
- Understanding of time series data and summary statistics.
- Knowledge of best practices in data visualisation.
- Intermediate Excel.
- Experience with dashboards in Tableau or similar.
- Basic knowledge of SQL.
- Knowledge or experience working with retail or social media data.
- Experience using project management tools such as Jira, Monday, Hive, Smartsheets etc.
- People management and people skills.
- Using AI Grammarly system or similar.
- Proofreading English copy.
- Excellent editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of grammar and syntax.
- Excellent command of English, spelling and grammar.
- Highly organised and able to juggle multiple deadlines, mediums and platforms.
