The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Temporary Works Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in coordinating all aspects of Temporary Works from design through construction to completion and sign-off. You will ensure compliance with procedures, provide technical support, and drive continuous improvement across projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate Temporary Works activities across all projects.
  • Chair pre-start and progress meetings for Temporary Works.
  • Maintain a Temporary Works register for each project.
  • Ensure design briefs are adequate and task-specific.
  • Provide expert technical support in design, management, and on-site oversight.
  • Support WGM Temporary Works Coordinators (TWC) and Supervisors (TWS).
  • Conduct site audits and compile reports.
  • Offer technical input during tendering.
  • Identify value engineering opportunities.
  • Deliver workshops/forums for team development.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and external consultants.
  • Liaise with subcontractors to ensure compliance and understanding of TW procedures.

About You

Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in a similar role.

Technical Expertise: Design and checking of formwork, falsework, scaffolding, site setups, excavations, over-pumping systems, temporary generator setups, etc.

Knowledge: BS 5975 regulations, CDM regulations, Health & Safety standards.
