We are currently looking to recruit Senior Engineer with an Electrical or mechanical bias to join our E&M team based in Glasgow on a permanent basis. As a Project Engineer, you will provide full project guidance and ensure that maintenance plans are developed and agreed as the overall work package evolves. You will also be responsible for preparing project status reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising information and trends before recommending actions to be taken., * Developing detailed workstream plans, ensuring resource availability and allocation.

  • Delivering workstream compliance.

  • Building relationships with the internal teams, the client, and other relevant contractors and communicate effectively between all parties

  • Working with commercial to ensure commercial compliance.

  • Attending meetings as required with clients.

  • Managing Health & Safety process and ensuring these are adhered to across the workstreams.

  • Help to ensure HSEQ is being documented accurately throughout the office team and the site team

  • Liaise with business support functions to ensure successful delivery of the workstream.

  • Identifying any risks in the workstreams and mitigating risks.

  • Effective management and scheduling input to the overall programme interfaces with other workstreams and contribute in the co-ordination of third-party stakeholders as required.

  • Reporting daily/weekly to the E&M Director and Delivery Manager on key aspects of progress issues and concerns at WGM and client level.

  • Create and improve on an excellent Health and Safety environment with a healthy focus on training and promotion within all workstreams.

  • Ensuring all workstreams are commenced and completed to the quality standards and expectations of WGM and our clients.

  • Plan resource and identify the workload of current and new workstreams with the assistance of the Project Engineer, Delivery Manager, and Maintenance Planner.

  • Contribute to the effective management of internal skills and resource requirements, where it is effective, efficient.

  • Provide feedback to the Senior Management team at all stages.

  • Support the workstream set objectives and deliverables.

  • Contribute and help to ensure that success throughout all workstreams is achieved by delivering the programme within the compliance periods.

  • Help to ensure that we eliminate customer and client complaints on site.

  • Review employee performance identify areas where improvements can and should be made.

  • Expected to train to Temporary Works Co-ordinator (TWC) level in relation to the WGM Temporary Works Procedures.

  • To carry out the duties of the Temporary Works Co-ordinator (TWC), meeting the respective technical standard.

  • Duties and responsibilities are assigned under WGM Engineering management system and the Temporary Works Co-ordinator (TWC) is expected to follow the mandatory temporary works procedures as described in the WGM Engineering procedure (TWP1).

  • The Temporary Works Co-ordinator (TWC) is responsible to the Managing Director for ensuring the TW design is implemented and in accordance with the drawings and specifications.

  • As Temporary Works Co-ordinator (TWC) you confirm that you are competent and have the relevant up-to-date training and both the qualifications and experience appropriate to the complexity of the project and operations for which you are responsible.

  • The Designated Individual (DI) will confirm you have the resources and time available to carry out the appointment of Temporary Works Co-ordinator (TWC) as well as the authority to stop the work if not satisfactory.

To be considered for this position you will have at least 2-3 years previous experience within a similar Project engineering role ideally within an engineering or similar industry background. You will be ideally qualified to degree level within a engineering discipline. A good understanding of water and waste water industry and processes is preferable. The Ability to write detailed reports and have a clear understanding of NEC form of contract is required within the role. Due to the nature of the role a full UK driving license is required as the will be travel to various sites across the country
