We are currently looking to recruit a DSEAR Project Engineer to join our E&M division on a full‑time permanent basis covering various sites throughout the central belt of Scotland. The engineer will be responsible for assisting in all delivery preparation activities during the operational life of programmed work.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Accurately track and record all relevant information relating to the delivery of the DSEAR project.
- Write detailed and accurate risk assessment and method statements (RAMS).
- Undertake site surveys, taking measurements, photos, asking questions of operations, understanding process, assessing access and egress.
- Resolve technical and logistical issues as they arise.
- Support site needs, material, labour, resources, plant.
- Drive and lead procurement of materials through creation and review of bill of materials.
- Evaluate, organise and prioritise workload within the schedule.
- Attend client meetings.
- Regularly report project progress and updates to Senior Management.
- Manage programme adherence and report discrepancies to management.
- Deputise and pick up line management duties of the Senior Engineer where required.
- Ensure compliance with DSEAR & HSE regulations.
Requirements
- To be considered you will have at least 2–3 years of previous experience in a similar Project Engineer role, ideally within an engineering or related industry.
- You must have previous experience of DSEAR or Compex regulations (Compex 1‑4); this is essential.
- Previous knowledge of the water or water‑waste industry would be beneficial.
- A full UK driving licence is essential to travel to various sites across the country.
