You will support the manufacture, modification and refurbishment of fabricated metalwork, engineering components and assemblies used across WGM's growing UK water, utilities and infrastructure portfolio.

Our Off-Site Engineering team supports safer, more efficient project delivery by manufacturing, assembling, refurbishing and testing equipment within a controlled workshop environment.

- What You’ll Be Doing
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, specifications and work instructions.
- Mark out, cut, shape, drill, grind, form, fit and assemble fabricated metal components.
- Manufacture and refurbish structures, frames, skids, brackets, pipework assemblies and other engineering components.
- Prepare materials and components for welding, inspection, coating or final assembly.
- Check dimensions, alignment, fit-up and overall quality against required tolerances.
- Identify and report drawing discrepancies, defects, material issues or technical concerns.
- Complete job sheets, inspection records and workshop documentation accurately.
- Work safely, maintain a clean workshop and contribute to improvements in quality, safety and productivity.
- What You’ll Bring
- Previous fabrication experience within an engineering, manufacturing, construction or industrial environment.
- A recognised trade apprenticeship, vocational qualification or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering and fabrication drawings.
- Practical experience marking out, cutting, preparing, fitting and assembling metal components.
- Ability to use engineering measuring equipment and workshop machinery safely and accurately.
- Understanding of dimensional tolerances, alignment, fit-up and fabrication quality requirements.
- Strong attention to detail, good communication skills and a commitment to safe working.
- Ability to work independently, manage allocated tasks and contribute effectively as part of a workshop team.
Experience within water, utilities, infrastructure, process engineering, modular construction or another project-led engineering environment would be helpful, but is not essential.

- 32 days’ holiday, increasing to 36 days based on length of service.
