About the Role

This role manages the production of discipline-specific engineering design deliverables for multi-disciplinary projects within the Water Industry, including initial concept design, design development, and detailed design through commissioning and completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of designers to achieve project design deliverables in line with company goals.
  • Ensure all design work complies with WGM QA Policies, Procedures and Specifications.
  • Attend sites to assist with surveys and data gathering.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external contacts to maximise efficiencies and identify opportunities.
  • Lead and perform as a key member of a highly efficient, multi-disciplinary design team.

Person Specification

  • Strong technical knowledge relevant to Electrical design.
  • Commercial awareness of your discipline.
  • High attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
  • Competent IT and CAD knowledge.
  • Excellent analytical and numeracy skills.
  • Creative problem‑solving mindset.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with colleagues, clients, contractors and other project partners.

  • Up to £60,000 per annum / Full Time Equivalent.
