Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all procurement operations to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality sourcing of goods and services.
  • Develop and maintain effective procurement processes and controls to drive efficiency and compliance.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives across procurement processes, systems, and supplier management.
  • Establish and foster strategic relationships with key suppliers and business partners.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and service level agreements to secure optimal value for the organisation.
  • Monitor supplier performance, resolve disputes, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of procurement professionals, setting clear goals and performance expectations.
  • Provide coaching, training, and mentoring to build procurement capability within the team utilising and improving capability matrix.
  • Promote a collaborative and high-performance culture within the procurement function.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant legislation, regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Work closely with legal, commercial, finance, and compliance to manage contractual and regulatory risks.
  • Manage procurement budgets, deliver cost savings, and enhance value for money.

To be considered for this position you will have at least 3-5 years previous experience in a senior procurement role, ideally within a complex, multi-stakeholder environment. The preferred candidate should demonstrate success in developing and implementing procurement strategies, delivering cost savings, and fostering value-driven supplier relationships. Hands-on experience in leading, developing, and motivating high-performing procurement teams is essential for the position.
