We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our E&M division on a full‑time, permanent basis. You will oversee the line management and coordination of all field resources, ensuring the safe, efficient and compliant delivery of works. You will also support the Project Manager in the successful planning and delivery of programmed works while managing HSEQ, financial, commercial and client expectations.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
- Coordinate all programme elements in line with WGM’s safety standards, covering design, manufacturing, installation and commissioning.
- Provide line management for field resources, including team performance KPIs, appraisals and development plans.
- Monitor and adhere to budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources to deliver compliance KPIs.
- Oversee design and development, ensuring all work complies with relevant industry standards.
- Manage Health & Safety processes and ensure full compliance across all workstreams.
- Support accurate documentation of HSEQ across site teams.
- Attend or chair weekly meetings with clients and stakeholders, both onsite and offsite.
- Liaise with business support functions to ensure successful delivery of compliance metrics.
- Identify and mitigate risks across all workstreams.
- Support programme scheduling, ensuring effective interface management with other workstreams and coordination of third‑party stakeholders.
- Report daily/weekly progress, issues and concerns to the Project Manager at both WGM and client levels.
Candidate Requirements
- At least 2–3 years’ experience in a similar supervisory role, ideally within electrical engineering or a related industry.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical works, including inspection and testing.
- A clear understanding of NEC contracts; knowledge of compensation events and early warnings is advantageous.
- A full UK driving licence, as travel to sites across the country is essential.
