Build WGMs future workforce WGM Engineering, part of RSK Group, is looking for a Talent Acquisition Sourcing Specialist to join our growing Strategic Resourcing team on a permanent, full-time basis. This role based in Glasgow and will benefit from hybrid working, with 20% - 40% of your time in the office. Flexible working options will be considered.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in WGM’s growth plans and support the evolution from reactive recruitment to a more proactive, insight-led Strategic Resourcing model.
You will focus on identifying, engaging and developing pipelines of talent across WGM’s critical disciplines, growth locations and hard-to-fill roles. Working closely with the Resourcing Manager and Talent Acquisition Partners, you will help us build sustainable talent pools, strengthen our understanding of the external market and increase direct hiring.
WGM Engineering is experiencing significant growth across the UK, delivering critical infrastructure projects across the water, utilities and infrastructure sectors. What You’ll Be Doing
- Proactively identify and engage candidates for current vacancies, anticipated workforce requirements and planned project mobilisation.
- Develop targeted sourcing strategies for specialist, technical and difficult-to-fill roles using LinkedIn, professional networks, recruitment platforms and WGM’s candidate database.
- Conduct talent mapping across priority disciplines, employers, locations and relevant industry sectors.
- Build and maintain talent pools, creating personalised engagement and keep-warm activity with prospective candidates.
- Work with Talent Acquisition Partners to translate vacancy briefings into clear candidate profiles, search criteria and sourcing plans.
- Provide market insight on candidate availability, salaries, notice periods, mobility and competitor activity.
- Track pipeline strength, candidate response and source effectiveness, using this information to recommend improvements to the resourcing approach.
- Support WGM’s employer-brand activity and ambition to increase direct hiring while reducing unnecessary agency reliance.
What You’ll Bring
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Previous experience in candidate sourcing, recruitment research within an Inhouse Talent Acquisition or agency recruitment team.
- A strong track record of identifying, approaching and engaging passive candidates.
- Confident use of LinkedIn and other sourcing tools to develop effective candidate searches and pipelines.
- The ability to understand a vacancy brief and translate it into a clear target candidate profile.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a warm, credible and candidate-focused approach.
- Good research and market-mapping skills, with the ability to identify relevant employers, disciplines and transferable talent.
- Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage several sourcing priorities simultaneously.
- A proactive, curious and solutions-focused approach, supported by accurate candidate records and good data discipline.
Experience sourcing within engineering, construction, utilities, infrastructure, water, manufacturing, MEICA or another technical environment would be helpful, but is not essential.

We are offering a competitive salary aligned to the skills and experience demonstrated for this role. Full salary banding is available on request.
