WGM Engineering, part of RSK Group, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a full‑time, permanent basis. This hybrid role is based in Glasgow, Scotland, with a typical split between home and office working. This is a unique opportunity to join one of Scotland’s leading engineering solution providers operating across major projects throughout the UK.

About The Role

The overall purpose of the role is to provide commercial support across all business streams concerning financial and contractual matters arising through the management of various contracts and sub‑contracts. Working under the guidance of a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Manage contract and subcontract administration, including tender enquiries and documentation
  • Support cost‑optimisation through cashflow forecasting, CVR production and valuation preparation
  • Assess and process subcontractor payment applications and compensation events
  • Support Change Control processes, including Early Warnings and Compensation Events
  • Monitor and report on expenditure against budgets and forecasts

Person Specification

  • Demonstrable experience in a Quantity Surveying role within a commercial environment
  • Strong understanding of contract administration and financial management processes
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Commercially astute with the ability to interpret financial and contractual information
  • Confident communicating with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Flexible approach with the ability to travel to sites as required
  • Holds a full UK driving licence
