About the Role
This role manages the production of discipline-specific engineering design deliverables for multi-disciplinary projects within the Water Industry, including initial concept design, design development, and detailed design through commissioning and completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of designers to achieve project design deliverables in line with company goals.
- Ensure all design work complies with WGM QA Policies, Procedures and Specifications.
- Attend sites to assist with surveys and data gathering.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external contacts to maximise efficiencies and identify opportunities.
- Lead and perform as a key member of a highly efficient, multi-disciplinary design team.
Person Specification
- Strong technical knowledge relevant to Electrical design.
- Commercial awareness of your discipline.
- High attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
- Competent IT and CAD knowledge.
- Excellent analytical and numeracy skills.
- Creative problem‑solving mindset.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with colleagues, clients, contractors and other project partners.
