The Vacancy

WGM Engineering, part of RSK Group, is looking for Framework Director to join our Projects team on a permanent, full-time basis. Reporting to the Projects Director, this role is based from our Glasgow office with hybrid working options available.

The Framework Director is responsible for the overall performance, growth and delivery of the Scottish Water Framework within the Projects business. This role provides strategic direction, commercial leadership and operational oversight to ensure frameworks are delivered safely, profitably and in line with client expectations. Full ownership of the framework lifecycle is required, from pipeline development through to delivery and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic & Commercial Leadership: Own framework P&L, deliver revenue and margin targets, and drive growth strategies.
  • Client Leadership: Act as senior client interface, maintaining strong, long‑term relationships and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
  • Operational Oversight: Ensure safe, efficient project delivery aligned with programme, cost, quality and governance requirements.
  • People Leadership: Lead and develop high‑performing, multi‑disciplinary teams aligned to company values.
  • Financial Management: Maintain accurate forecasting, cost control and performance reporting.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation, standardisation and improved delivery efficiencies across frameworks.
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to HSEQ, regulatory and internal governance processes.

Person Specification

  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
  • Formal qualifications within one of the following disciplines, Mechanical, Electrical or Civils.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
  • Ability to lead from the front and provide support to direct reports and the wider team.
  • Provide support to the Projects Director in leading the Projects Business and being able to deputise as and when required.
  • Proven senior leadership experience in project delivery within engineering or utilities sectors.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with P&L responsibility Experience managing large frameworks or portfolios.
  • Excellent stakeholder and client management skills.
  • Desirable - UK water sector framework experience and Chartered status.
