We are seeking an experienced Business Manager to lead and grow our Specialist Coatings Business—a small, high‑potential unit with ambitious growth plans. This is a rare opportunity to take ownership, shape strategy, and build capability in a division set to become one of WGM’s standout business streams.
You Will:
- Drive efficiency and operational excellence
- Build strong internal and external relationships
- Deliver innovative, sustainable solutions that exceed customer expectations—safely and profitably
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for the Precision Surface Solutions Business
- Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing team
- Create and report on a Business Scorecard (Financial, Customer, H&S, Quality, People)
- Collaborate with Transformation Directors to explore new ways of working
- Implement process‑led delivery with the Performance and Planning Director
- Build relationships to maximise opportunities in England
- Support and develop framework opportunities across AMP 8 in the English Water Sector
- Work with Business Development to secure strategic opportunities
- Recruit and deploy capable resources
- Set team objectives/KPIs and monitor performance
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in engineering, FM, infrastructure, or industrial services
- Strong commercial and operational leadership skills (this is not a technical coating role)
- Proven experience in P&L ownership, operational performance, leadership, client engagement, and growth delivery
