WGM Engineering Ltd, part of RSK Group, has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Designer to join our Technical & Design team on a permanent contract based in Glasgow with hybrid working arrangements. This role supports the production of discipline-specific engineering design deliverables for a range of multi-disciplinary projects across Mechanical, Electrical, ICA and Civil disciplines within the Water Industry. The role covers initial concept design through to detailed design, commissioning and completion across all business streams as required. WGM is an expanding, self-delivery design and build partner recognised across the Scottish and English water industry for outstanding high-quality work, client service and a commitment to health, safety and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design team and produce designs and associated deliverables for a range of engineering projects.
  • Ensure that all design work is completed in compliance with WGM QA Policies, Procedures and Specifications as necessary.
  • Attend sites when required to assist with surveys and data gathering.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external key contacts to maximise efficiencies and identify opportunities.
  • Integrate and perform as a key member of a highly efficient, multi-disciplinary design team.
