The Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards, ensuring full customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. This role is central to the planning, coordination, and execution of E&M projects, acting as the primary point of contact for clients, internal teams, and external contractors while promoting WGM’s values and reputation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, ensuring effective resource allocation and programme delivery.
- Deliver projects to agreed scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
- Manage daily site operations, ensuring progress aligns with programme milestones.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
- Provide regular progress updates (daily/weekly) to the E&M Services Director and Delivery Manager.
- Ensure projects are commissioned, completed, and handed over in line with WGM and client expectations.
Person Specification
- Proven experience in a Project Management role.
- Background in Electrical Engineering.
- Previous line management experience.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and planning skills.
- Excellent client‑facing and internal communication skills.
- Valid UK Driving Licence.
- Experience in Water / Wastewater projects.
- Knowledge of NEC forms of contract.
- DSEAR awareness and hazardous area experience.
