  • WGM Engineering, part of RSK Group, is looking for an experienced
  • CAD/BIM Modeller to join our growing

Technical & Design team on a permanent, full-time basis .

This role will be based in

Glasgow and will benefit from hybrid working and a 9-day working fortnight, with every second Friday off . Please note we will be relocating to Stepps within 6 months.

You will create and coordinate 3D models for multidisciplinary engineering projects, working closely with Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Process and ICA teams to turn engineering concepts into practical, buildable solutions.

You do not need previous water-sector experience to be successful in this role.

We are interested in people with relevant digital design experience from engineering, infrastructure, utilities, energy, process, manufacturing, rail, construction or other technically complex environments who can bring transferable capability into WGM.

  • What You’ll Be Doing
  • Produce and develop coordinated 3D models and associated technical drawings for multidisciplinary engineering projects.
  • Translate engineering concepts, specifications, survey information and design requirements into accurate digital models.
  • Work collaboratively with Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Process and ICA teams to develop coordinated and buildable solutions.
  • Support projects from concept and optioneering through detailed design and construction.
  • Participate in site surveys and information-gathering activities to support model development.
  • Undertake model coordination and clash detection, identifying and helping resolve design and constructability issues.
  • Produce design outputs in line with project, client and WGM quality requirements.
  • Participate in design reviews, coordination meetings and client workshops.
  • Contribute to BIM standards, modelling procedures and continual improvement in digital engineering delivery.
  • What You’ll Bring

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate

  • Experience producing 3D models and technical drawings within an engineering, infrastructure, construction or comparable technical environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Revit, Civil 3D, Inventor or similar 3D design software.
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and technical information.
  • Understanding of multidisciplinary design coordination and clash resolution.
  • Strong attention to detail and a focus on accurate, high-quality design outputs.
  • The ability to communicate and work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.

Experience of Auto CAD, Navisworks, BIM/CDE environments or ISO 19650-aligned workflows would be advantageous.

Previous experience within water or wastewater would also be beneficial, but is not essential.

Salary And Benefits

Salary banding from £36k. Full salary banding is available on request.

  • 9-day working fortnight, with every second Friday off
  • 32 days’ holiday, increasing to 36 days based on length of service
