We are now seeking an experienced Authorised Person – Lifting Coordinator to join our Projects Division. This is a key role responsible for planning, coordinating and overseeing all lifting operations across our sites. Reporting directly to the Construction Manager, you will work collaboratively with project teams to ensure safe, compliant and efficient lifting activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and implement Lift Plans for all on‑site WGM lifting activities, keeping Project Managers and Site Managers fully informed.
- Ensure all personnel involved in lifting operations have the required training, qualifications and competencies.
- Execute lifting operations in line with approved Lift Plans, ensuring briefings, Tool Box Talks and documentation are completed and fully understood.
- Undertake on‑site duties including Appointed Lifting Person, Crane Supervisor and Slinger/Signaller as required.
- Be present during required lifting operations, including complex, standard and subcontractor lifts.
- Support the Delivery Team in assessing lifting equipment needs (cranes, HIABs, mechanical aids, etc.), liaising with suppliers and assisting with procurement.
- Review subcontractor lift plans, ensuring all briefings are completed and comprehensively understood.
- Work closely with RAMS documentation, ensuring Lift Plans align with risk assessments and method statements, implementing amendments where necessary to uphold safe working practices.
- Produce reports on completed lifting operations across multiple sites.
- Provide guidance, oversight and coaching to site teams involved in lifting activities.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- 2–3 years’ experience in a slinger signaller or lifting operations role.
- Relevant CPCS qualifications – Appointed Person, Lift Supervisor and/or Slinger/Signaller.
- Strong knowledge of safe lifting systems and practices.
- A proactive, safety‑first mindset with excellent communication skills.
- A valid UK driving licence.
