Overview

WGM Engineering have opportunities for DSEAR Electricians to join our business on 12 month fixed term contracts. These roles are within our E&M division, covering various sites throughout the Central belt of Scotland. The successful candidate will be a time served electrician with broad experience in understanding site layout and operation. You will be expected to demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to read and understand electrical schedules/drawings. We welcome applications from electricians looking to develop their skillset, with full training to achieve Compex certification 1-4; full support would be offered for the right individuals within this role.

Responsibilities

  • Having knowledge and experience of ATEX inspections and DSEAR regulations would be advantageous; upskilling will be considered for the right candidate.
  • Team player with knowledge of safe systems of work and who has completed a recognised industrial/commercial electrical Modern Apprenticeship.
  • ECS card.
  • Experience of industrial electrical containment construction to current electrical regulations and WIMES specification.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential).
  • Experience of ATEX inspections and DSEAR regulations (desirable).
  • City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 Test and Inspection qualification (desirable).
  • CompEx EX01-04 (Desirable).

To be considered for this position you will have at least 2-3 years’ previous experience, ideally within an electrical engineering background. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical skills and the ability to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative. Travel to various sites across the country will be required, so a full UK driving licence is essential.
