We’re looking to join our team for a seasonal position (April – September). As an Events Food and Beverage Assistant, you’ll support our vibrant summer events programme across multiple departments, ensuring guests have a seamless experience. This role is on a zero‑hour basis, giving you flexibility to enjoy everything Watergate Bay Hotel has to offer.
The areas you’ll explore:
- Pizza Cabin: Fast‑paced, high‑energy environment delivering consistently great food. Tasks include taking orders, processing payments, serving drinks, cash handling, and stock restocking.
- Ice Cream Cart: On the beach, you’ll operate the ice‑cream cart by selling ice creams, processing payments, restocking supplies, cashing up at the end of the day, and informing the team when more stock is needed.
- Beach Events: Support our Beach Events programme (such as Beach Suppers, summer socials, and community events). Responsibilities include guest care, setting up, and serving food and drinks.
- The Living Space and The Beach Hut: Support teams as a Runner or Bar and Waiting Assistant (must be over 18 to sell and serve alcohol).
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Washing dishes and cutlery, ensuring all areas have enough supplies (including using dishwashers)
- Polishing cutlery
- Washing and polishing glasses
- Cleaning and sanitising kitchens and back‑of‑house areas
