As our Bar and Waiting Assistant, you’ll show what it means to work for a hotel that goes above and beyond for our team and guests, creating memorable experiences they’ll cherish for a lifetime.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Welcoming guests in a warm, friendly, timely and relaxed yet professional manner.
  • Working in all areas of our restaurant.
  • Preparing hot and cold drinks with flair, creativity, and consistency.
  • Continually building upon company and product knowledge and providing input on how we can continually develop and improve.
  • Partaking in team tasting sessions for an authentic understanding of our menus, providing first-hand knowledge for guest queries and boosting overall team creativity and rapport.
  • Keeping the area you’re responsible for clean, tidy and organised.
  • Taking care of guests’ billing.
  • Offering new team members a helping hand, supporting their training and development.
  • Working together as part of our committed, efficient and dynamic team.
  • Following the guidelines outlined in the staff handbook and department standard operating procedures.
  • Adhering to our Health and Safety and COSHH regulations (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health).

What we’re looking for:

  • A strong customer service ethos, with a keen eye for the small details that make a meaningful impact.
  • Barista, waiting or bar experience (or time working in other people-facing roles in retail or leisure).
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • The ability to work efficiently and effectively as part of a team.
  • A real energy and passion for everything that you do with lots of enthusiasm and personality.
  • A genuine desire to provide an excellent guest experience.
  • An aptitude for using new technology to facilitate a smooth ordering and billing process, without compromising our guest experience.
