About the Role: You will work with children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder and social, emotional, and mental health needs. Your role is to support learning, development, and self-esteem, contributing to a safe and successful journey in a well-resourced environment at Gables Learning Centre.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons and support students in achieving learning goals.
  • Help pupils develop abilities and raise self-esteem.
  • Collaborate with therapists and support staff to meet individual needs.
  • Provide consistent, resilient support in challenging situations.
  • Participate in full induction, on-the-job training and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Positive, “can-do” attitude and team-working spirit.
  • Experience working in a classroom preferred, but initial training will be provided.
  • Passion for supporting children to learn and making a real impact.
  • Enthusiasm and expertise to support teachers and work closely with therapists.
