Responsibilities

  • Ensure young people are prepared for school each day, including getting them up and ready.
  • Assist with homework and classroom or activity participation.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and plan daily activities.
  • Plan and lead recreational activities such as video games, football, film nights or go‑karts on evenings and weekends.
  • Provide ongoing support, caring attitudes and empathy to young people with social, emotional and mental health needs.
  • Participate in team meetings, case planning and safeguarding procedures.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Positive, proactive attitude and a true team player.
  • Honesty, empathy and resilience in challenging situations.
  • Valid UK driving licence held for at least 12 months.
  • A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent is preferred; if not held, the employer will finance study.

Training & Development

  • Four–week full induction through the Care Academy.
