As a Registered Manager in our 8‑bed children’s home you will lead the day‑to‑day operations, ensuring the environment supports your staff and the young people to feel secure, safe and motivated. Your role is to deliver a high‑quality care experience that helps young people achieve their best outcomes while meeting Ofsted standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day‑to‑day operations of the home, including staffing, budgets and resources.
  • Ensure all Ofsted requirements are met and maintain the home’s Good or Outstanding rating.
  • Lead the recruitment, training and development of staff, fostering a culture of accountability and support.
  • Oversee new referrals and coordinate care planning with psychologists, occupational therapists and other clinical team members.
  • Promote a holistic, child‑centred approach to meet the social, emotional, mental‑health and learning needs of each young person.
  • Maintain accurate record keeping, reporting and statutory documentation.

Key Qualifications

  • Experience managing a Ofsted‑rated Good or Outstanding children's home.
  • Level 5 Diploma qualification in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England).
  • Full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months.
  • Positive, enthusiastic leadership style with a passion for making a difference.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of young people.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Base salary: £54,997 – £68,441, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Performance bonus of 10% of salary, reviewed annually.
  • £2,500 on‑call bonus (approx. 10 weekends per year) and £1,400 attendance allowance.
  • Long‑term incentive plan – a 30% bonus of salary accrued each year and paid as a future lump sum.
  • Full 4‑week induction on our Care Academy.
  • Annual holiday: 7 weeks (flexible in terms of holiday allowance).
  • Flexible benefits package, including pension, life insurance and optional private health insurance.
