Overview
The Psychologist role is based at Queensmead House School, working two days per week at the historic site overlooking Windsor Castle. The school is an independent specialist day school with a Good Ofsted rating, providing a high‑quality education for pupils with complex educational needs, communication difficulties and challenging behaviours.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical assessment, formulation and individualised therapeutic interventions for children and young people with complex needs.
- Support educational and residential colleagues to create therapeutic living and learning environments.
- Deliver consultation, workshops, training and guidance to staff across the schools and children’s homes.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure therapeutic support permeates all aspects of education, care and support.
- Participate in supervision, clinical development programmes and multidisciplinary meetings to share expertise and improve practice.
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified Clinical, Educational, Forensic or Counselling Psychologist registered with the HCPC.
- Proven skills and experience in assessing, formulating and delivering therapeutic interventions for children and young people with complex needs.
- Experience of supporting teams to create clinically informed living and learning environments.
- Strong organisational skills, initiative and the ability to lead and train others.
- Commitment to achieving the best outcomes for young people.
