Key Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships and engage children in assessments and interventions under the direction of a qualified psychologist.
  • Support a multidisciplinary clinical team and educational and residential colleagues to provide therapeutic living and learning environments.
  • Conduct clinical assessments and formulate individualised interventions for young people with developmental trauma, neuro‑developmental conditions and special educational needs.
  • Implement and evaluate therapeutic strategies and track progress.
  • Participate in team supervision and clinical development programmes.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Psychology eligible for graduate BPS membership; curriculum should include components relating to young people, mental health or autism.
  • Experience working with young people who have developmental trauma and/or neuro‑developmental needs such as autism, SEMH and ADHD.
  • Resilience and ability to manage challenging situations.
