Responsibilities
- You will work as part of the leadership team and report directly to the Head Teacher.
- You will collaborate with team members across locations to progress and develop your skills and knowledge.
- As a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead you will support the DSL to ensure actions are taken to safeguard children within the school.
- This includes, on a daily basis, undertaking tasks delegated by the DSL such as liaising with statutory and non‑statutory agencies, parents/carers and staff on matters of well‑being, child protection and safeguarding, and supporting the wider school team.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years’ experience as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead in a school setting.
- Comprehensive portfolio of CPD related to safeguarding and child protection.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and other IT systems.
- Outstanding interpersonal and problem resolution skills.
- A genuinely empathetic approach.
- Full UK driving licence.
