We are inviting a Speech & Language Therapist to join Luxborough Court School in Essex to cover maternity leave for one year. The role involves working with a specialised student population of boys and girls diagnosed with autism and other special educational needs, providing individualized therapeutic interventions and supporting the multi‑disciplinary team across educational and residential settings.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver therapeutic interventions tailored to children and young people with complex needs, including developmental trauma and neuro‑developmental conditions.
  • Support educational and residential staff to create clinically informed living and learning environments through consultation, workshops, training, and guidance.
  • Collaborate within a multi‑disciplinary clinical team, offering ongoing supervision and participating in CPD.
  • Provide clinical assessment, formulation, and individualized plan development for students.
  • Engage with mobility demands, driving as required for visits within the group.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Registered Speech and Language Therapist with the HCPC.
  • Proven experience delivering therapeutic interventions for children and young people with complex needs.
  • Experience supporting teams to implement therapeutic environments and strategies.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to take initiative.
  • Background in sector supervision and a minimum of extensive sector experience.
  • Valid driver’s licence for occasional travel.
