About the role

As a cook at Chilworth House Upper School, you will be central to the student, staff, and visitor experience, preparing and serving tasty, nutritious food across the 7‑11 age range.

Key responsibilities

  • Follow all food hygiene rules and maintain high health and safety standards.
  • Develop varied menus that encourage students to try new foods.
  • Plan meals taking into account specific dietary requirements.
  • Prepare, cook and present meals for students, staff and visitors.
  • Assist with meal preparation and kitchen housekeeping.

Qualifications and experience

  • Experience catering in a professional setting is preferred, but competent home cooks are encouraged to apply.
  • Basic Food Hygiene and Safety Certificate.
  • Hard‑working, friendly and dependable.
