We are now looking for a skilled CNC Miller Programmer to join our growing team and contribute to our continued success.

Role Overview

The CNC Miller Programmer will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating Vertical & Horizontal Machining Centres to produce precision‑engineered components to tight tolerances. You will work across our wide range of machines, programming with Fanuc and similar controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program, set, and operate sliding head and fixed head CNC lathes.
  • Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Select appropriate tooling and machining strategies for efficient production.
  • Produce precision components to tight tolerances and within quality standards.
  • Carry out first‑off inspections using precision measuring equipment.
  • Optimise CNC programs and setups to improve cycle times and reduce waste.
  • Work collaboratively with production staff to meet deadlines and customer requirements.
  • Maintain machines, tooling, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience programming and setting machining centres.
  • Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls (or similar).
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments.
  • Experience producing small to medium batch quantities.
  • High attention to detail and strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of CAD/CAM software (Edgecam, Fusion 360, etc.).
  • Understanding of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
