An established precision engineering manufacturer is currently recruiting an experienced CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator – Turning to join its growing production team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a modern machining environment producing high‑precision components across a wide range of industries and materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Programming and editing CNC programs using Fanuc
- Setting and operating Turning machines efficiently and safely
- Producing first‑off components to engineering drawings and quality standards
- Supporting production through tooling preparation, machine setup and process prove‑outs
- Managing tooling wear, offsets and tool life during production runs
- Carrying out in‑process inspection using a range of measurement equipment
- Recording production, setting and scrap information accurately within production systems
- Assisting with continuous improvement and process development activities
- Completing TPM and routine machine maintenance activities
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and workplace organisation
Candidate Requirements
- Strong background in Turning
- Experience programming, setting and operating lathes
- Ability to create and edit programs using Fanuc controls
- Good understanding of tooling, cutting data, machining strategies and material behaviour
- Experience working with a variety of materials including aluminium, steel, titanium and Inconel
- Confident using inspection equipment and first‑principles measurement techniques
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive and quality‑focused approach
